ECOCIVIC: Youth Virtual Exchanges for Climate Action and Civic Participation
ECOCIVIC is an Erasmus+ Virtual Exchange project that creates online spaces where young people can explore environmental challenges, exchange perspectives across countries, and develop practical ideas for greener and more inclusive urban communities. The project pays special attention to young people from underrepresented backgrounds, aiming to make climate participation more democratic and connected to everyday life.

Climate-Engaged Youth
Over 2,000 young people equipped with climate literacy, critical thinking, and practical tools to move from awareness to action in their communities.
EU Cities & Climate Dialogue Toolkit
A practical toolkit developed and tested for facilitating youth-led virtual discussions on urban sustainability and civic participation.
FSL's Role in ECOCIVIC
FSL leads activities in Luxembourg and contributes to the project's quality assurance and evaluation. As FSL's second Virtual Exchange project under Erasmus+, ECOCIVIC builds on the organisation's growing experience with digital youth engagement and transnational virtual learning.
Key Activities
Virtual Exchanges & Workshops
A broad programme of over 100 virtual events including awareness-raising sessions, thematic workshops, and cross-country reflection events. Young people explore climate-related urban challenges such as air pollution, waste reduction, water protection, and green mobility.
Youth Dialogues with Authorities
Structured dialogues between young people and local and national authorities, giving participants direct channels to influence decision-making on climate and civic issues in their communities.
Digital Action Plans & Campaigns
Mentoring participants to design their own action plans and digital campaigns, with the goal of supporting at least 50 youth-led plans and piloting 20 digital campaigns across the partner countries.
