Open Call: Spark Project Grants Up to €1,000 for Youth Teams in Luxembourg's Peripheral Areas
FSL's Spark project is now open for applications: group grants of up to €1,000 for teams of at least 10 young people from peripheral areas of Luxembourg who want to launch a community initiative. Applications close September 20.

GOT AN IDEA? WE'VE GOT UP TO €1000 FOR IT
FSL, in the frame of the project Spark, is handing out group grants of up to €1000 to teams of young people who want to make something happen in their community — together.
What's the catch? There isn't one, but it's a team effort: this grant is for a group, not an individual — so gather your crew before you apply. We're looking for teams of at least 10 young people, working alongside 1–2 youth workers or mentors who'll support you along the way.
Your initiative should put young people from peripheral areas of Luxembourg at the centre — not just as participants, but as the ones shaping the idea, planning it, and deciding how it goes. More voice, more visibility, more of a say in what happens around you. Sports tournament, art jam, clean-up day, podcast, workshop, flash mob, community garden — if your group designs it, drives it, and it gets young people more active in community life, it counts.
Here's the deal:
- Projects run on any date in October–November
- Deadline to apply: September 20
- To apply, send a one-page description of your idea to liana@fslux.lu — tell us who's in your group, how you came up with the idea together, and how it will boost youth participation in your area
- Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis — the earlier you apply, the better your chances (spots fill up!)
- Selected teams get invited to free online workshops on project management — so you'll actually know how to pull it off
- Along the way, we'll ask you to keep track of what you tried, what worked, and what you'd do differently — this helps other young people across Europe learn from what you build
You don't need experience. You don't need a fancy plan. You just need an idea, a group of at least 10, and a mentor or two who's got your back.
